Microsoft introduces the Surface Pro 3: A monster 12-inch tablet that ‘replaces the laptop’

Updated @ 12:05 pm: Microsoft has introduced the Surface Pro 3 — a 12-inch tablet, weighing in at 800 grams. There is a new “friction hinge” that allows for a free range of angles from 22 degrees all the way through to 150 degrees. It comes with a stylus. There are three configurations – Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7, with prices starting at $800. It goes on sale in the US on June 20, and August for the rest of the world. The event has now concluded.
